Elementary Education confronts viewers with the nature of America’s public school system. Are early grades built to inspire curious and rambunctious children? Are grades and praise based more on behavior than on learning? Is there a better model available to us? 

Here, I use teacher-themed rubber stamps and ink to build up letter forms. Each stamp has a positive message, such as “A+” or “Good Work!”. These stamps layer together on top of torn canvas to spell the message “sit still kid.”
